Welcome to AA Military Research, at this time our site is under reconstruction. The two major sections of our site are "Hobbyist" which contains our retail line and "Professional" which is meant for publishers, kit manufacturers, museum style professional model builders and professional artists.

AA Military Research (AAMR) is a small company located in suburban Maryland, we specialize in researching photographs, plans and textual documents for US Navy subjects from the late 1890's through the end of World War II. Research is conducted primarily at the US National Archives in College Park, Maryland, US National Archives Washington, DC and the US Naval Historical Center at the Washington Navy Yard. We will also research the photographic record groups for the US Army, US Air Force and Coast Guard for this era. We do not research individual personnel or military service records. Sorry for having to make that really stand out but the sheer number of requests is out of hand.

For the hobbyist market we will from time to time publish articles in various hobby or naval subject magazines and release photo CD's. To see our line of products click the "Shopping Cart" button to left or go straight to our Order Page here.

For the professional market (kit manufacturers, publishers and professional modelers) we offer customized research services and stock images from our library. Our current image library contains over 25,000 images of publication quality in .tif format, approximately three percent of the images are color with the balance being black and white. These are mostly photos of US Navy ships of the pre-World War II and World War II era with approximately 800 of the photos are of British and Commonwealth ships. Our library of photos never stops growing. Hobbyists, please note the full resolution photos are only available to the professional market.

Please note that it will take some months for us to upload our entire library of images, we want to do it right for our customers' convenience.

If you have any questions, suggestions or wish to contract with us for research services, please click the Contact Us button to the left and select the appropriate type of contact. Thank you for choosing AA Military Research.
