The buttons to the left will take you to thumbnail galleries of our stock images for the South Dakota Class of battleships. Most of our images for this class are from Record Group 19 at NARA. Most of the colors images are from NHC with a few scanned from slides in Record Group 80-GK at NARA. If you look carefully you'll find the image that is often used to "prove" there was a green battelship (supposedly BB-58 USS Indiana), do you know why the image isn't "proof" and why it's green?
